Does kape scrub really get rid of cellulite?

The secret to temporarily flushing away cellulite is caffeine.

That’s why we use freshly roasted Robusta coffee beans ground finely to an “espresso grind” in our Kape Scrub  (we don’t use used coffee grounds!)

Robusta coffee beans have twice as much caffeine as Arabica beans.

And the fine espresso grind ensures the quick release of caffeine as your massage it on your skin.

Massage gently and leave on for 5-10 minutes to allow your skin to absorb the maximum amount of caffeine.

As a topically applied stimulant, the caffeine in coffee dilates blood vessels, which temporarily tones and tightens tissue.

Plus it increases circulation and reduces water retention, both of which may also help smooth the rumpled look of cellulite.

The antioxidants in coffee may help to release toxins, which is not only helpful for cellulite, but for healthy skin in general.

“Caffeine stimulates dilation while the scrubbing motion increases circulation, plumping up the skin and making cellulite look less obvious,” dermatologist Dr. Mona Gohara explains. “Plus, coffee grounds contain antioxidants, so they can increase collagen production.”

Gohara says the effects can last about a week, so if you’re headed on beach vacation or wear a thigh-exposing mini in the near future, try massaging a coffee scrub into your skin.
